You become a fan of some sort of supposed principle, like “I hate text messages that only say ‘k’.” or, “I pretend to text in awkward situations.” What happens after you’ve known that 4,521 people also believe in that?
When I decided to write this entry, I honestly don’t have anything further to say. But now that I’ve started writing about it, there’s one point that came to mind about these things in Facebook–they thrive because people want to be reassured of stuff. We believe in strength in numbers. And even though we are perfectly aware that these things are not quite out of the ordinary, it helps to know that we’re not the only one. Or maybe, (this also just came to now) I’m just over-analyzing stuff. It’s just fun when small things that we don’t really notice are pointed out to us. Like, “I always burn my tongue because I’m excited for the food.” And that’s not a group yet in Facebook, but that certainly applies to me. Boo.
I wanna be buried in your chest right now because it has always been a safe refuge for me where I can forget about everything. I don’t know what I should do now.
